Jamaica first competed at the Winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988. The members of Jamaica's first bobsled team were Devon Harris, Dudley Stokes, Michael White, Samuel Clayton.Jamaica's best performance was in the 1994 Winter Olympics where they placed 14th beating teams from the U.S.A., Russia and France.Lascelles Brown, a member of the team from 1999 to 2004 competed for Canada in 2006 and won a silver medal in the two-man event.
